Ted Lasso has officially wrapped up season four, and we’re breaking down what you need to know.
Here’s the summary of season four: “Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”
What Happens in the Season 4 Finale of Ted Lasso?
Ted Lasso Season 4 saw the Greyhounds enter a whole new era with the launch of the women’s team. This finale ep brought some closure as we await news on Season 5. For example, the episode saw a lot of storylines wrapped up.
We have Roy Kent and Keeley, who are looking forward to becoming parents, whilst he also takes on a role with Chelsea.
Matthijs ends up proposing to Rebecca, all while she has been making sure AFC Richmond is set financially.
And Ted’s own future looks a little different. He decides to end his time as the head coach of AFC Richmond’s women’s team. Alice Chilton ends up taking over. He isn’t leaving the team for good though, as he decides to stay on alongside Coach Beard as an assistant.
We also get to see the crew all together at Crown & Anchor to remember Mae in an emotional farewell.
Is Ted Lasso Renewed or Canceled?
While Apple TV has not officially announced Season 5 of Ted Lasso, we do have some information!
Matt Cherniss, Apple’s head of programming, might’ve spilled the beans that the show will be back for another season.
Matt told Deadline back in July, “Jason’s still hard at work on season four, and I know he’s looking to jump into the next season soon, but to my knowledge, I don’t think we’ve gotten started on it yet.” Fans seem to think this means a fifth season is on the table.
