Tom Cruise underwent a crazy transformation for his new movie!
On Wednesday (September 9), Warner Bros. debuted the final trailer for filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu‘s new movie Digger, which stars the 64-year-old action star as an oil baron named Digger Rockwell who is charged with saving the day to avert an environmental catastrophe that he caused in the first place.
The logline shares that Tom’s eccentric billionaire character “embarks on a frantic mission to prove that he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything.”
The also stars John Goodman, Sandra Huller, Jesse Plemons, Riz Ahmed, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sophie Wilde and Emma D’Arcy.
Alejandro previously said of Tom‘s transformation: “The transformation he went through was astonishing. ‘Alejandro, it took me 40 years to become this character,’ he told me once. And I think we both know what it means to carry an entire career into a single moment like this. We both knew that throughout our journeys, we had never done anything even close to this.”
Digger hits theaters on October 2.
