Billy Idol and Darius Rucker have both arrived at the AMAs ahead of their special honors at the event!
The music legends were seen walking the carpet at the 2026 American Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Monday (May 25) in Las Vegas.
Darius was joined by his Hootie and the Blowfish bandmates Jim Sonefeld, Mark Bryan, and Dean Felber.
Billy Idol is getting the AMAs’ Lifetime Achievement Award
Billy Idol is performing at the show tonight and he’s also going to be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Can you believe that he has never won a Grammy?! He has been nominated three times, all in the Best Male Rock Vocal Performance category, for “Rebel Yell” in 1985, “To Be a Lover” in 1987, and “Cradle of Love” in 1991.
Darius Rucker is receiving the Veterans Voice Award
Darius Rucker will be performing with Hootie and the Blowfish tonight and he’s going to receive the Veterans Voice Award.
Darius won two Grammys in 1995 with Hootie for Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for “Let Her Cry.” Nearly two years later, he won a Grammy again for the song “Wagon Wheel.”
