The country world is in mourning.

Dolly Parton, an icon in the country music scene, sadly passed away at the age of 80 today (August 25), and country stars are expressing their grief on social media following the major loss.

Known for classics like “Jolene” and “9 to 5,” Dolly was a massive force in country music, winning dozens of awards from the ACM Awards, the CMA Awards, and the Grammys, and was inducted into the Country Hall of Fame in the ’90s, as well as the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
