Brittany Cartwright is opening up about her ex-husband Jax Taylor dating their publicist, Lori Krebs.
Back in July, the 47-year-old former Vanderpump Rules star and the former couple’s publicist were seen getting cozy in Mexico, and he later confirmed he was “taken.”
In a new interview with People, Brittany spoke out about the “complete betrayal” for the first time, after previously saying she would speak out a later time.
Brittany says Lori was like a sister and was always there for her
“I’m shaking,” she told the publication. “I mean, this person was not only my publicist, she was like a sister to me for 10 years. It’s just complete, complete betrayal.”
“There probably wasn’t a time where I was doing press in New York and Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that [Lori] wasn’t there with me,” Brittany continued. “And I’ve done that 20 times over my career on Bravo.”
She also noted that Lori was with her during her darkest moments, they traveled together, and the publicist even helped plan their wedding.

Brittany says about two hours before the Mexico photos came out on TMZ, she got a text from Lori, saying it was “going to be incredibly shocking and painful” for her.
“I understand that you will feel betrayed by this, especially because I was there during one of the hardest times of your life,” Lori wrote, which Brittany read to People. “I cared very much about you and Cruz then, and I still very much do. None of that care or support was ever insincere.”
Brittany says Lori told her that she’ll “never excuse the way Jax treated” her, but “over time,” her “relationship with him” had changed.
“Over the past several months, we became much closer,” Brittany says Lori wrote. “I know one of your first questions will be about the timeline.”
She then addressed past rumors that something happened between them, saying, “When you asked me about the rumors, I told you they weren’t true, and I will always stand by that.”
“I understand you may not believe what I’m saying to you, but I’m telling you truthfully that this only developed in the past few months,” Lori continued, per Brittany. “I wanted to tell you sooner, but I struggle a lot with how to handle this. It’s important that you know that professionally I have never discussed your work, your business, your personal life, or our private conversations with him, and I never will. I know this will forever change how you see me and I understand and accept that. I just feel you deserve to hear this directly from me.”
The Valley star says her “heart sank” when she read the messages.
“I wrote back to her like, ‘What do you mean your relationship changed?’” Brittany recalled. “Then I said something like, ‘Lori, this is so disgusting. This is horrible. You’re dead to me.’ She turned her phone off, and we have not spoken since.”
Of course, the day after the photos were released, it was revealed that Brittany fired Lori as her publicist.
Brittany also tells People that another TMZ story was “worse than the photos.” Two days after the pics, a story was published saying Jax and Lori bonded over their divorces and raising children with autism.
She says the story “broke my heart. Knowing everything that I do for my son, knowing how hard this divorce has been on me, knowing everything I have gone through, that’s what you’re going to say you bonded over? It’s absolutely disgusting.”
