Emma Hunton starred in the musical Les Miserables as a child actress and now she’s returning to the show, portraying the iconic role of Fantine.
The Broadway star, best known for appearing in the original production of Spring Awakening and playing Elphaba in the touring cast of Wicked, is starring in a new Los Angeles-area production of Les Mis.
Emma will play Fantine in 5 Star Theatricals’ Les Miserables from October 9 to 18. A rehearsal video has been shared, which you can watch below.
Emma previously played Young Cosette in the third national tour back in 2001. She reminisced about returning to the show when her casting as Fantine was announced in August.
“Unbelievably excited to join @5startheatricals and return to the show that started it all- this time playing Fantine, in the theater I played my final show as Young Cosette. To say this feels full circle is an understatement and I truly cannot wait for everyone to see it. This cast list is insane!!! Get your tickets before they’re gone!! Thank you to everyone who made this dream a reality, and to my mom for driving me across the country when I was 10,” Emma wrote on Instagram.
Get tickets now! The show is being performed at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks, California, which is located in Greater Los Angeles.
