NCIS is getting ready to return for its 24th season, marking another chapter in one of television’s longest-running franchises.
Over more than two decades, the CBS procedural and its spinoffs have featured hundreds of actors in starring, recurring and guest roles, including performers who became memorable parts of the NCIS universe.
Sadly, a number of those stars have passed away in the years since their appearances on the shows.
Ahead of the Season 24 premiere on Tuesday (October 6), we’re looking back at 12 actors from NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles who have been lost through the years, the characters they played and their contributions to the franchise.
