Phoebe Bridgers is back with new music, and an album review is sparking some online theories about who the songs could be referencing.

If you don’t know, the 31-year-old singer is set to release her new album, Lost Weekend, on August 14.

According to a review in The Guardian, Phoebe included a lyric in her song “Lost Weekend” that appears to confirm a theory that she and her ex, Paul Mescal were engaged.

The line is, “I’m supposed to be married, but I called it off.”

Phoebe and Paul first sparked dating rumors in August 2020 and they made their relationship public in late 2021. They were rumored to have gotten engaged, but they never confirmed these theories. Reports emerged in 2022 that they might’ve split.

The two singers have frequently been linked by fans, especially after Gracie performed with a bedroom set featuring a bed and bedding that supposedly matched Phoebe‘s childhood room.
