West Wilson‘s cousin has reportedly been arrested and charged for the murder of their grandmother.
The 31-year-old Summer House star has been riddled in controversary around his relationship with co-star Amanda Batula, but now his family life has been rocked.
According to TMZ, West’s cousin Dakota Sweeney was arrested last Wednesday (April 22) and his being charged for killing their grandma, Gayle R Wilson.
Per the report, authorities responded to reports of a shooting at a residence, and found Gayle dead in the home.
Police say a witness says Dakota was quietly sitting in a room with his grandmother for 30 minutes before allegedly shooting her with a handgun.
Witnesses reportedly told officers that Dakota and Gayle had argued earlier in that evening over him not helping with chores around the house.
After being taken into custody, a holster was found on his person, and he was arrested without incident on scene, and he is being charged with first-degree murder.
The sad incident took place the day before the Summer House reunion was filmed, which was on Thursday (April 23) in New York City.
West‘s dad and Dakota‘s mom are Gayle‘s stepchildren.
