Emma Stone and Chris Pine are officially set to work together in an upcoming romantic comedy movie!
The fan-favorite actors will star in the upcoming film The Catch, which will be directed by Emma‘s husband Dave McCary.
Universal Pictures has dated the movie for May 21, 2027, according to Deadline.

The movie was written by Patrick Kang and Michael Levin and the report says that Emma put her focus on the film once the latest draft came in. She is going to produce the movie alongside Dave and some others, including Shawn Levy.
Emma and Dave‘s production company Fruit Tree has a first look deal with Universal Pictures, which will oversee production on the movie.
Not much is known about the film other than it being a “two-hander rom-com.”
Chris was attached to the project back in February and he’s no stranger to romantic comedies after having his breakout movie role as the romantic lead in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. We recently learned that he’s set to appear in the upcoming third movie of that franchise!
Dave was previously a writer and segment director on Saturday Night Live. He made his directorial debut in 2017 with the movie Brigsby Bear.
